Vegan Catering in Mumbai
Fully plant-based catering for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations — dairy-free Indian and global menus, rebuilt as their own dishes rather than edited versions of existing ones.
Vegetarian is not vegan, and the difference matters
This is where most catering in Mumbai goes wrong. Indian vegetarian cooking leans on dairy at almost every step — ghee in the tempering, cream in the gravies, paneer as the default protein, curd in the marinades, khoya in nearly every mithai.
So a menu that removes the meat is not a vegan menu. A dish labelled vegan that contains any of the above is worse than no label at all, because the person it was made for eats it in good faith.
We rebuild rather than edit. Every vegan dish is developed as its own recipe, prepared with its own utensils and its own oil, and labelled clearly at the counter.
How we make Indian food genuinely vegan
Instead of ghee
Cold-pressed groundnut and sesame oils, chosen per dish so the tadka still carries aroma rather than tasting flat.
Instead of cream and malai
Cashew and almond pastes, coconut milk and melon-seed bases. A vegan makhani made this way holds up beside the dairy version.
Instead of paneer
Firm tofu where the texture suits, and equally often jackfruit, mushroom, soya chaap or slow-cooked vegetables — not just paneer dishes with a substitute dropped in.
Instead of curd
Coconut and cashew curd for marinades, raitas and kadhi, prepared in-house rather than bought in.
Instead of khoya
Coconut, cashew and date-based mithai, jaggery halwas and kheer on plant milk — so dessert isn't the weak point of the meal.
Kept genuinely separate
Own utensils, own oil, prepared apart from dairy. If a guest is vegan by conviction rather than preference, this is the part that matters.

Jain vegan, which is a third thing again
Jain vegan excludes dairy along with onion, garlic and root vegetables. That rules out a great deal at once, and it cannot be done by removing ingredients from an existing dish — the base has to be built differently.
We prepare Jain vegan as its own menu, not as a subtraction. It comes up more often than people expect at Mumbai weddings, and getting it right is the difference between a guest eating properly and a guest eating plain rice.
If dairy is acceptable and the requirement is simply vegetarian, our pure veg catering may suit better.
Where we cater
Across Mumbai from our FSSAI-certified kitchen in Marol, Andheri East, and out to Navi Mumbai and Thane for larger functions.
Hygiene, and an open invitation
FSSAI standards throughout, temperature-controlled transport, uniformed staff, documented cleaning schedules, and a named supervisor accountable on site rather than a call desk.
You're welcome to visit our Marol kitchen before booking. For vegan catering particularly, seeing how separation actually works is worth twenty minutes.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between vegan and pure veg catering?
Pure vegetarian food includes dairy — milk, curd, paneer, ghee. Vegan excludes all animal products, so no dairy or honey at all. We offer both, prepared separately.
Can you cater a full vegan wedding?
Yes, including multi-day functions with different menus for mehendi, ceremony and reception, live counters and a full vegan dessert selection.
Can you serve a mixed menu where only some guests are vegan?
Yes, and this is the most common request. A clearly labelled vegan section is prepared with separate utensils and oil, so vegan guests can eat with confidence while the rest of the menu stays as you want it.
Do you offer Jain vegan food?
Yes. Jain vegan excludes dairy along with onion, garlic and root vegetables, and is prepared as its own menu rather than by removing ingredients from existing dishes.
Can we taste the menu before booking?
Yes. We arrange a tasting for larger functions so the menu is finalised before anything is confirmed.
Is vegan catering more expensive?
Broadly comparable. Cashew and almond bases cost more than dairy, but that is usually offset elsewhere in the menu. We send a written quotation once we know your guest count and menu.
Where in Mumbai do you cater?
Across Mumbai from our kitchen in Marol, Andheri East, including Andheri, Bandra, BKC, Powai, Juhu, Lower Parel and South Mumbai, and out to Navi Mumbai and Thane for larger functions.
