Goregaon is three catering jobs, not one

Most areas of Mumbai need one kind of catering. Goregaon needs three, and they have almost nothing in common.

The IT parks — Nirlon Knowledge Park, NESCO IT Park, Oberoi Commerz, Infinity — want steady daily meals for a fixed headcount. NESCO Exhibition Centre wants high-volume service across long days for crowds that arrive in unpredictable waves. Film City wants unit catering: early calls, late wraps, and food that holds for hours because the shoot overran.

We run all three. Below is how each one actually works.

Daily meals for the IT parks

Recurring lunch programmes on a rotating menu, sized to the headcount that actually turns up rather than the number on the payroll — post-hybrid those can differ by half.

Where a company runs its own cafeteria on site, we operate it: staffing, menu cycles, temperature logs and a supervisor accountable by name. More detail on office catering services and canteen operations.

Exhibition catering at NESCO

Exhibitions break the normal rules. Footfall spikes without warning, stalls need food delivered without leaving the stand, and hospitality suites run to their own schedule. Planning for an average across the day guarantees you run out at noon and waste at four.

What we do instead: staggered production through the day, stall-level delivery rounds, and separate arrangements for exhibitor crews versus visitor hospitality. Trade shows, conferences and product launches at NESCO are a regular part of our calendar.

Unit catering for Film City

Shoots don’t run to plan. Calls move, wraps slip, and the crew eats when there’s a gap rather than at one o’clock. Food has to hold safely for hours in Mumbai humidity without turning into something nobody wants.

We plan for that — dishes chosen for how they hold, hot-holding equipment on site, and staff who stay until the unit has actually eaten.

Our kitchen is in Marol, Andheri East — a short run up the Western Express Highway, which is why short-notice requests from Goregaon are usually workable rather than a polite no.

Menus for a mixed workforce

Any Goregaon office floor will include people fasting on set days, colleagues who don’t eat onion or garlic, and a growing number avoiding dairy entirely. We keep at least two clearly labelled onion-and-garlic-free options and at least one that’s genuinely dairy-free.

Otherwise: North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Chinese, working-lunch boxes, high tea, dessert counters and live stations where there’s space.

FSSAI standards throughout, temperature-controlled transport, uniformed staff, documented cleaning schedules, and a named supervisor on site rather than a call desk.
